8 fabulous rooms and a Mediterranean restaurant have found their place in an elegant building from the end of XVI century that overlooks the sea. The essence and the traditional atmosphere are combined in a refined way with the modern functionality and the comfort of the spaces and the attention to detail in order to offer to our guests an unforgettable stay in a unique location.
Mansion built in 1543. Particular interesting is the portal in Stone of Syracuse, surmounted by a coat of arms depicting a rooster crowing towards the sun and a carved “R” (probably the Ruffo di Calabria family). Over the years it has undergone significant transformations. Today it has become a place that houses 8 rooms in modern style on the two upper floors, in the lower part of the building (formerly used as a shelter for boats and as a deposit for supplies) we find a cozy restaurant where you can enjoy fish-based gastronomic specialties, treasures of Scilla cuisine. The current owners have chosen the name “Il Casato” to remember and to continue a tradition of families united and dedicated to work with humility, professionalism and nobility of mind.
